The Option Process® Dialogue

In addition to coaching, I offer the Option Process® Dialogue as taught at The Option Institute Learning and Training Center in Sheffield, Massachusetts. The dialogue is a non-directive technique of listening and asking questions from an accepting and non-judgmental attitude. This helps the client to uncover and discard limiting beliefs that fuel unhappiness and self-defeating behaviors. Through the dialogue, a client can gain clarity, an attitude of acceptance, and a stronger sense of personal power.

"We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think."
Buddha 500, BC

"One's own thought is one's world. What a person thinks is what he becomes."
From the Upanishads, Indian texts dating back almost 3,000 years

"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
Proverbs 23:7

"For there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."
Shakespeare in Hamlet

"Whether you think you CAN or CANNOT, you are right."
Thomas Jefferson

What beliefs fuel your thoughts, feelings, and actions? Take charge of your life by taking charge of your beliefs. The dialogue is an excellent tool to use if you are

  • Feeling stuck
  • Unhappy (frustrated, angry, confused, upset, hurt, or sad)
  • Feeling like a victim
  • Feeling powerless or not good enough
  • Unclear or struggling with a decision
  • Looking for your own answers and greater self-understanding

If you would like more of an understanding of what the dialogue is you can read about it in Chapter 2 of Barry Kaufman's To Love is to be Happy With available online here.

Information on fees and scheduling is provided on the Services page.
